     I would like to thank Lee Rodrigues for designing our new t-shirt. He is a pleasure to work with and will be doing work for us as we grow to Blizzard proportions. Lee is a creative genius.    Mma BLIZZARD is getting ready for a MONSTER 2010. We've been a little quiet the last few months but watch out 2010 we're COMIN ATCHA!!!

    Warm wishes and congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Joshua and Kayla Pentob who were married on December 26,2009. You both make a great couple. What could be better than pairing two great people. You'll make an awesome bride and groom. Josh is also in active duty in the USMC! Thank you Josh for all that you do! Mr. & Mrs. Joshua Pento ... has good ring to it!

Newly Acquired Fighters
 

 
     We're pleased to announce the signing of a local fighter by the name of Josh Pento. Josh is a local fighter from Massachusetts. Currently he's serving our country in the U.S.M.C. down in North Carolina. Josh is a great representative for the Marines and for MMA Blizzard. Welcome back man we're PUMPED to have you.

    We would like to introduce the newest Blizzard fighter...Nick Wood. Nick is our first fighter from Mississippi and we are proud to have him under our fight gear. We are looking forward to growing with him and his team which is Team Paragon. Welcome Nick.

   Joining Blizzard and making his PRO debut we have Tommy "Samurai" Turner. This is one talented young man. We are PUMPED to have him with us. We're glad to have Tommy with us as we both climb the ladder of success. Welcome man.

   Blizzard fight wear has yet another female fighter. We have Cathi Owens coming to us from Ft.Campbell KY. Cathi is a Special Forces Wife and travels all over the U.S.A. We are excited to have her with us. She has a LOT of support from her husbands military family and now the Blizzard family. Welcome.

  We are pleased to announce a signing of another female fighter from Tennessee. Please welcome Heather "The Main Event" Martin. Heather has a great boxing background and is FULL of energy. She will be fighting her second fight as a MMA Blizzard fighter. Welcome to our family Heather.

 We have another fighter joining us from N.Y. by the name of Kevin "Barn Spider" Swinton. Kevin was discovered when he KO'd one of the fighters we currently sponsor. They now train together on weekends. Welcome Kevin we're pumped to have you in our roster!

Brett Sbardella Jumped into Battle on 3-20-10

 Brett is was ready to head into one of the biggest MMA events ever in Michigan. It was on Saturday March 20th at the Convocation Center, in Ypsilanti, MI. The event was promoted by Xtreme Kombat League XKL. The event name was Evolution 1. Brett fought Abdullah Hamden. Brett got caught in the beginning of round 1 and ended up losing by TKO.Rico Rodriguez, Jeff Monson, and Corey Hill were also on the card that night.This was a HUGE night of fights, hopefully you were there to witness it! Brett was beaten but we KNOW you're not out man. Take the loss and learn from it and you will be back STRONGER than ever. Just like a BLIZZARD..never give up! MMA BLIZZARD and Brett Sbardella are still COMIN ATCHA!!!

 Heather is a mad woman! She jumped BACK into the cage to do battle again. This time it was in Evansville, Indiana at the Evansville Coliseum.  The event was promoted by GFight and it's called the GFight Summit 2010. You can see the events that took place at the above site and you can see the results on the Fighter Girls web site. Heather's last fight she KNOCKED OUT her opponent within 16 seconds! This time she fought against  Laura Edler-Hill. This fight went all three rounds and Heather lost my majority decision. One thing we do know is that Heather is called "The Main Event" for a reason. This was one hard core female mma fight. We are VERY proud of you Heather you showed a true BLIZZARD heart. Strong until the end. We know you will bounce back to put a hurtin' on your next opponent. Josh will be traveled from North Carolina up the East coast to Massachusetts to fight in his first sanctioned MMA fight. Josh is dedicated to his country and is enlisted in the United States Marines. This event was in Chicopee MA. at     Hu Ke Lau. The event is promoted by Fight-Stream and Hu Ke Lau. Pento will be got in the cage against Brian Beaury. This was a fairly quick fight.. Two men will stepped into the cage and only ONE came out victorious. Unfortunately this was not Josh's night to win. Josh was taken down and was put into a compromising position in which he tried to escape several times. Brian was able to get Josh where he could not move and the referee stopped the fight due to strikes. Josh took MANY hard hits and did NOT tap!!! Back to training Josh. You are still a TOUCH S.O.B. and you're a true AMERICAN! You represented the Marines, yourself and MMA Blizzard in OUTSTANDING fashion. We'll get em next time!

    Tommy fought in one of the biggest events EVER in Idaho. You can read a great article on Tommy in the Blizzard news. This event was so big it was at the Qwest Arena, Boise Idaho. Special guest - UFC fighter JOSH "The People’s Champion" Burkman. In this fight Tommy  fought Josh McBride. This event was promoted by  Knockout Promotions. For more on the event, click here. Idaho witnessed first hand why Tommy is a BLIZZARD fighter and why he's called SAMURAI! Tommy got Samurai on Josh and was victorious when the referee stopped the fight in the 1st round do to strikes. Tommy hit Josh with a BLIZZARD of punches. Keep your eyes open because Tommy and mma Blizzard are COMIN ATCHA!!!
